What I recently did: as kmail does not handle IMap Inbox folders conveniently (inbox namespace problem, another bug) I told my cyrus imap server to use alternate namespaces. I can happily use that config on another computer - but threre I did a "rm -r /.kde/share/apps/kmail". So again this is one of many bugis related to the fact that kmail is assuming that the state of it's cache is valid and just crashing otherwise. Such brain-damaged bahaviour of an important kde-app would frustrate ordinary users. Please consider removing kmail from etch - it is very unstable and almost unusable. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-8-ani Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages kmail depends on: ii kdebase-kio-plugins 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 core I/O slaves for KDE ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 core libraries and binaries for al ii kdepim-kio-plugins 4:3.5.5.dfsg.1-4 KDE pim I/O Slaves ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.17-1 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libaudio2 1.8-2 The Network Audio System (NAS).
