Bug#405965: konqueror: Konqueror sometimes takes minutes to load

I after I reported the bug, I noticed K3b hanging with the splash screen
on "Creating GUI". When I left it alone, it loaded after about 5
minutes. This behavior is also intermittent

No. The last time it happened, the load average was under 0.1 and I had
over 600M free RAM.
> Do you have a homepage set in konqueror?
No. Every time I've had a problem, I was launching it as a file manager.
I have 30 items in my home directory and there's minimal disk activity
while it loads. Every time, KDE has been running. Desktop items still
behave normally - that instance of Konqueror seems unaffected.
