I'm not actually sure both bugs are the same problem. Bug 403133 is not related
to CUPS and your problem is.
Bug 403133 is more related to printing to a PDF file.
My problem seems to be that the file name does not get put on the
commandline that kdeprint generates. Maybe my bug report is more similar
to #304801.
Is your bug still present in 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5? if not, i think the bug
could be closed. I have been searching in the KDE bts but i have not
found any problem similar to this.

It is frustrating because printing from the command line with the same
command as given in the error message works if one simply adds a file
name to print at the end of the command line.
Printing from CUPS web interface, or OpenOffice.org still works fine.
I tried removing and adding back the printer in KDE control centre and
the problem remains the same (printer is Canon BJC-3000 on local
parallel port with Foomatic/gutenprint-ijs.5.0).
