Bug#405600: kde: kwin (possibly) caused an unusual x server crash

Package: kde
Version: 5:44
Severity: normal

This bug might involve several apps, like xfree86, kdevelop, kwin. I'm
not quite sure.

I have pressed [ctrl]+[shift]+[f] to switch kdevelop to fullscreen
mode, like I used to do on other machines running kde desktop. Then I
tried to switch to another virtual desktop using [right win]+[right
alt/menu] (my custom keybind, very handy). There was only one app on
the desktop I switched to, and it was amarok. Suddenly the whole kde
thing, including kicker, desktop and all the other stuff stopped to
respond in any way. Kicker disappeared, AFAIR. I was only able to
control amarok, and only with mouse. After I've closed it, I was
unable to log out ([ctrl]+[alt]+[delete]), switch to any console
([ctrl]+[alt]+[fx]), nor even force a shutdown of xfree86
([ctrl]+[alt]+[bspc]). However, it seemed that the rest of the system
still worked. So it wasn't a crash I think, but rather something more
unusual: a hangup. The only thing that was left was the hard reset
key, the key I haven't used since I got rid of win32 (half a year or
so). If this info could be useful, I'm also including versions of my
xfree86, kwin, kdevelop and amarok:

kwin		== 4:3.3.2-1sarge3
kdevelop3	== 4:3.2.0-1
xfree86-common	== 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14sarge1
[all x-related stuff on my machine is something like 4.3.0.*]
amarok		== 1.2.3-1

Generally it's a very standard Sarge installation, based on the DVD
ISO I have finally managed to download a week ago.

I didn't tried reproducing the error. It never appeared on kde 3.5.1
which I used to use before I tried Debian, no matter how many times I
was switching from fullscreen'd kdevelop to amarok and vice versa.

And sorry for my english ;]
