Bug#379471: kdesdk-scripts: kde-emacs doesn't work with emacs-snapshot
Package: kdesdk-scripts
Version: 4:3.5.2-1
Severity: normal
Hi,
I just found out that kde-emacs does not work with emacs-snapshot
package because those contain cc-mode 5.31.3. The problem is that for
cc-mode 5.31 the function c-narrow-out-enclosing-class was removed,
which is needed for kde-emacs.
The removal of this function makes indentation unusable, emacs won't
indent upon pressing tab due to the error.
I already filed a bugreport upstream, this is just to notice KDE
Maintainers about this issue, in case emacs-snapshot somewhen moves to
Etch...
I'll add a forwarded-upstream note as soon as the bugreport is created.
Andreas
