Bug#404912: kdeprint: can't do a test print from KDE control centre with CUPS 1.2.7
Package: kdeprint
Version: 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-4
Severity: important
With cupsys 1.2.7, I can do printing to the local Canon BJC-3000 on
parallel:/dev/lp0 from http://localhost:631 or from a remote machine,
but doing a test print from KDE control centre results in the following
error when using the cupsys 1.2.7-2 supplied /etc/cups/cupsd.conf:
Unable to start child print process. Check the command syntax:
cupsdoprint -P 'CANON' -J '' -H '/var/run/cups/cups.sock:631' -U 'root'
-o ' MediaType=Plain
multiple-document-handling=separate-documents-uncollated-copies
orientation-requested=3'
However, the following prints successfully from the commandline
(konsole):
cupsdoprint -P 'CANON' -J '' -H '/var/run/cups/cups.sock:631' cupsd.conf
