Try the following:

(1) Start konqueror
(2) call up http://rrfwdemo.tbw.ch/rrfw
(3) log in with Username demo and Password demo
(4) Click "bluewin"
(5) Click "Routers"
(6) Click "demoRouter"
(7) Click "if"
(8) Click  "Show InOutBps for all interfaces"
(9) Try to print the resulting page to a PDF
(10) See konqueror generate print data, never stopping (I killed the
     process at page 168).

You neither should ever enable a editor, nor ever need to telnet to the GUI to 
log in the serial port to the parallel editor.
