Yes.

I just booted my iBook G3[0] and I can confirm the nasty white noise
sound. I used mpg321 to test. I can also confirm that the "intended
sound becomes more audible through the noise" from about one to four
seconds in, after which it returns to simple static. However, I do not
generally let it wait that long; I usually Ctrl-C out of mpg321 rather
quickly.

I can confirm that I also have a PowerMac Snapper on this machine. All
in all, my machine seems to be very similar to the dmesg in the KDE bug.
For comparison purposes, I have attached a dmesg from the current kernel
to this email. It is a completely Debian installation, including the
kernel[1].

I've attached the output of artsd -l0 as well. If you want anything
other information, please let me know. Since I don't boot the machine
very often (I usually use my amd64 desktop), it is better to ask for
lots of information at once, rather than small bits and pieces.

[0] /proc/cpuinfo at http://crustytoothpaste.ath.cx/machines/drpepper
[1] The kernel is not the newest in sid because I just updated it before
my test. As I said, I don't boot the machine that often. ;-) I did,
however, log out and then log back into KDE, so that the updates would
take effect.
