Package: akregator
Version: 1.0-beta10-1
Severity: normal

I am unable to start akregator. When I do so, it comes up with the message
-----------------------------
The standard feed list is corrupted (invalid XML). A backup was created:
/home/ross/.kde/share/apps/akregator/data/feeds.opml-backup.1114804200
---------------------------------------------------------------

When I hit OK to this message, I get a SIGSEGV.

Looking in the indicated directory, I see feeds.opml is 0 bytes.
There is a feeds.opml~ that has content (dated Apr 05). feeds.opml is
dated the time I closed my KDE session with akregator open and
running. (It might also be the time I started the next session--both
were in the same minute).

Immediately before ending the session I did a dist-upgrade, which did
change libc6.

The failure happens every time I try to restart the app.

So there is at least one problem, maybe more.

1) Even with bad inputs, akregator should not crash.
2) It's logic for handling end of session may be trashing feeds.opml
(that is, end of session signalled from KDE, rather than a direct user
exit of the app).

Copying the feeds.opml~ to feeds.opml does allow akregator to start.

For what it's worth, here's the backtrace on the crash

I'm not seeing this anymore either, so I'm closing the bug.
Thanks for checking.
