After trying several combinations, I found that if I held kwin at4:3.5.4-2+b1 and upgraded other kde packages to the version 4:3.5.5-1present in unstable (holding kdebase at 4:3.5.4-2 but upgrading all thepackages required by kdebase except kwin to 4:3.5.5-1), the flashingproblem is gone.


Please merge this with #391361.
