Package: libqt4-dev
Version: 4.1.4-1.1

I want to use tke make xconfig. In Debian Sarge, the packages libqt3-dev, tk8.3-dev, tcl8.3-dev are needed.

With Etch, I have libqt4-dev, all of these installed both with versions 8.4
However, make xconfig generates an error about missing Qt and dosent open xconfig.

When I installed libqt3-compat-headers together with bunch of dependencies, it works now. Is this the definite state?

hi,

you misunderstand "make xconfig" command to build a kernel. If you take a look
at the package linux-source-2.6.18, it suggests libncurses-dev | ncurses-dev,
kernel-package, libqt3-mt-dev packages. In fact you need to install
libqt3-mt-dev package as Qt dependency. It has nothing to do with Qt4.

cheers,

Fathi
