On my system (up-to-date 'sid' on AthlonXP 2200+) first thing which I have to do after login is
killing artsd - otherwise system is unusable due to fact that whole CPU power is wasted by artsd.
Currently I did 'mv artsd artsd-' to not have it started at all (other users of this machine will
rather complain then kill artsd (lack of any Unix skills)).
For me this bug is rather not 'normal' but more like 'blocker' as it make my machine too sluggish.
