When I try to change the icon of a application start button on kicker,
I get the message "Eigenschaften konnten nicht gespeichert werden. 
Vermutlich haben Sie kein Schreibrecht für 
/var/lib/menu-xdg/applications/menu-xdg/lyx_(qt).desktop."
(Meaning "Attrtibutes could not be written. Probably you don't have
write permission to /var/lib/menu-xdg/applications/menu-xdg/...".)
I'm not sure if this is to be blamed on kicker though.

  this now works as expected.
