Package: kdelibs Version: 3.5.2-1 the kdelibs packaged in debian unstable is given the wrong version number, . This means that you confuse us all when we try to track down bugs in the source code so that KDE may make a new release of kdelibs, specifically to fix the bug in which konqueror doesn't display pages after following links on slashdot (among others sites). In addition, it besmirches the quality of the KDE releases because you're packaging unreleased software prematurely and not informing the users of that fact, unless they read the changelogs, which we all know nobody does before they submit bug reports to KDE (or potentially just stop using it entirely). So, in short, you should either package only an actually released copy of KDE, or you should change the version number to, for example 3.5.pre2-r52364-1 thanks

Moreover, we do frequent branch pulls that are documented in the changelog. I don't see any harm here. closing the bug. If you have further issue with our dealing of KDE in debian, please contact us directly so that we can sort the problem out, but the BTS is not really the best place for it IMHO. thanks. -- ·O· Pierre Habouzit ··O madcoder@debian.org OOO http://www.madism.orgAttachment: signature.asc
