- Subject: kmail: Word wrap will break long words (such as URLs) in composer

Package: kmail Version: 4:3.1.3-1 Severity: normal In previous versions of kmail a long word would not be wrapped, so a URL that's longer than 80 characters will be displayed and sent intact. In the latest version it seems that URLs will be broken on a '/'. This is wrong, word-wrap should do exactly that, and wrap on word boundaries (IE white-space). Ideally there would be special-case code to wrap on a '-' IFF the "word" did not start with "http://" or other significant text. But lacking that level of sophistication it would be best to only wrap on white-space. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux lyta 2.4.22-pcmcia #1 Sun Sep 7 21:56:57 EST 2003 i686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C Versions of packages kmail depends on: ii kdebase-kio-plugins 4:3.1.3-1 KDE I/O Slaves ii kdelibs4 4:3.1.3-1 KDE core libraries ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.15-1 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libc6 2.3.2-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libfam0c102 2.6.10-1 client library to control the FAM ii libgcc1 1:3.3.2-0pre3 GCC support library ii libjpeg62 6b-8 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libkdenetwork2 4:3.1.3-1 KDE Network (common libraries) ii libmimelib1 4:3.1.3-1 KDE network mime library ii libpcre3 4.3-3 Philip Hazel's Perl 5 Compatible R ii libpng12-0 1.2.5.0-4 PNG library - runtime ii libqt3c102-mt 3:3.2.1-4 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.2-0pre3 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libxrender1 0.8.2-1 X Rendering Extension client libra ii xlibs 4.2.1-11 X Window System client libraries ii zlib1g 1:1.1.4-14 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information
