Package: ark
Version: 4:3.2.2-2
Severity: normal

When I select ~ as the destination directory for unpacking,
ark crashes. Selecting /home/eike as directory didn't crash,
so it was only the "~". I don't know if this should actually
work, but at least it shouldn't crash.

Version: 3.3.2-1

Hi, this is upstream #69736, marked as fixed on 2004-01-07. There is no indication of which branch received the fix, and I would have expected it to be 3.2, so that the fix would be in 3.2.0, but it apparently wasn't. Since I can't reproduce with Sarge's 3.3.2, I suppose the fix went in HEAD and released with 3.3.0. I'm closing as of 3.3.2-1 to be safe. Please reopen if you can reproduce in any current release.
