Aaahhhh. I just removed this some days ago because I couldn't remember
what this was good for ...

it works much better now, although kmail still dirties inodes in 
~/.kde/share/... . it seems, this behaviour only appears for "cached imap" 
accounts (aka disconnected imap). 

korganizer does sync a file outside of /tmp, it stops doing this when alarms 
are deactivated.
