This package is dependent on old dbus-1 23.4 or greater according to aptitude, yet does not recognize current dbus version 50.3 which has replaced
the deprecated dbus-1. It also seems to want libhal0 and libhal-storage0 and doesn recognize installed replacements libhal1 and libhal-storage1:

root@radio:/archives# dpkg -i kdebase-kio-plugins_3.5.0-1_i386.deb
(Reading database ... 349515 files and directories currently installed.)

Yet, apt-cache depends makes NO MENTION of dbus as a dependency and only lists hal as a recommended package which i´m sure is a violation of policy.

Thank you.

Because the new (and obviously incompatible) dbus/hal isn't in unstable yet.

I have no idea what you're talking about. dbus is a dependency.

Only because you're running incompatible packages from experimental.

Read the announcements we've made, especially the parts where we talk about=
=20
not filing bugs concerning packages not in the archive. You might also want=
=20
to review the lengthy discussion over dbus/hal that we've already had.

Cheers,
