Package: kde
Version: 5:44
Severity: important

My KDE is extremely slow when my networking is enabled, and works (I mean 20min just for a start-up). So I use icewm which kind off
is better. If I can remember correctly, the problem also exist when I use Gnome as my Window manager. When I use icewm, Mozilla
for example opens quickly, but Konsole takes about 5min.

My computer is brand new and I have tried every kernel I could think of. Next I will try to build a custom kernel, but my hope is
low. I thought the problem might be that my motherboard supports multi-processing and I have a normal Celeron CPU, but then it
would have had different results with the different kernels.

It looks as if I kind of sorted out the problem now by moving my /etc/network/interfaces to /etc/interfaces.back. Then rebooting.
Then moving my interfaces back and then /etc/init.d/networking restart. But I'm sure there must be a better way.

Thanx very much for the support
