kgamma 4:3.3.2-2

kgamma 4:3.3.2-2

Installed current stable Debian release yesterday.

Hi there, I've noticed a problem using kgamma, when used as a normal user it works while adjusting the Gamma, but after saving the results and closing the Display properties window, the Gamma reverts to 1.0 1.0 1.0 not in the settings, but you can see the gamma change back on screen. If you reselect the display window, the gamma changes again to the calibrated level.

It works fine as root though.

Is this a known issue, am I missing something, yes I did check the 'save settings to XF86config' box. And the settings have been written to the file, do users use a different file than the root user? The file I'm looking at is /etc/X11/XF86Config-4

There is another file /etc/X11/XF86Config-4.kgammaorig

What's this used for?

I don't even know if this is the right way to go about reporting problems, this my first Linux install.

I'm already converted, as soon as I can replace all my Windows apps, it's out the Window. I can't face another reinstall :-(

Regards Andreas Baitis
