   people/jd/trunk/arts/debian/arts.README.Debian
Log:
Add information about how to enable network transparent sound. This
doesn't describe using X11GlobalConn as it doesn't see to work here. If

+Enabling Network Transparency
+
+If you want to enable Network transparency, you need to enable the
+"Enable networked sound" option in KDE Control Center -> Sound &
+Multimedia -> Sound system -> General. This will make artsd listen on a
+TCP port. You can tell artsd which port to use by putting -p <portnumber>
+into the Additional arguments text box in the Advanced tab.
+
+On the remote client you can then export ARTS_SERVER=<host>:<port>
+where the port is the number you used above and the host is the machine
+you want the sound to appear on. It may be possible to write something
+to automatically set this using $DISPLAY or $SSH_CONNECTION.
