Bug#284853: kde: Media handling from desktop icon is broken

Package: kde
Version: 5:42
Severity: important

If I use the device icon on the KDE desktop or the devices:/ URL in
konqueror to mount a CDROM/DVD I can not umount or eject the DVD without
lots of errors:

If I just try to umount via the desktop icon the DVD gets umounted but
the desktop icon does not change. It looks like nothing happened.
If I try to umount again via the desktop icon an error message pops up
because the DVD was already umounted.

If I try to eject the media via the desktop icon all I get is an error
message popping up saying "eject /dev/xxx failed".

If I just use mount/umount/eject on the command line to handle removable
media everything works fine. Because media handling in KDE via desktop
icons works very good in all other distributions I know this must be a
debian specific bug.
