Bug#266760: Two "me too"s, and some supplementary information

Hello,
I have observed this bug on two different i386 Debian "unstable"
systems, one a new HP system where Xfree86 uses the Intel "i810" driver,
the other one a rather old Dell system using the "ati" driver.

The systems are quite dead in both cases; they respond to "ping",
but neither "ssh" nor "telnet" access is possible.

The bug behaves exactly as the submitter (Anthony Labarre
<anthony.labarre@skynet.be>) describes, except that I haven't had the bug
for a very long time - I never observed it until the upload of KDE 3.3 to
"unstable".

Furthermore - and this may be very important - I never observed
the bug on an unmodified "unstable" system. Only after the "Xsession"
hack to the problems with KDE 3.3 and "tcsh" - as described in bug 265895
- got installed did I see the bug. Then it was completely reproducible -
happens every time I log out.

To get a stable (!) "unstable" system with KDE 3.3, no freezing
problem at logout and no problems with "tcsh" I instead implement the
solution to the "tcsh" problem described in bug 266814.

Hope this all helps - KDE 3.3 is a great system.
