Bug#267105: kicker: Clock applet doesn't show date when asked

Package: kicker
Version: 4:3.2.2-1
Severity: normal

This is a fresh install of sarge/testing. When I try to configure the
clock applet in the panel to show the date in the default digital
display, it shows me the time zone region "New York", but not the date.
