Package: kmail
Version: 4:2.2.2-13
Severity: enhancement

The default windows setup of KMail is, like Mozilla's, a 3pane: folder
pane at the left, thread pane at the top right, message at the bottom right.

However, Mozilla allows the user to completely disable (not just
collapse) the message pane. In that case, the message won't load when
you click on it. You can then double-click on the message to open it in
a new window (KMail already supports the latter).

Loading the message (in collapsed mode) causes several problems:

    * Because I double-click on the message anyway, it will load twice.
Usually, the 2 loads are at the same time, and the loading
interferes, often leaving me without body.
    * The message loads unnessarily. This is not only unneeded traffic
and processing, but also potentially dangerous, if I selected
hostile spam that I just wanted to delete.

Actual result:
There is no way (at least, I found none) to make a message not load in
the message pane when you select it.

Suggestion:
Under the View menu, offer a switch to disable the message pane and
message loads there completely.
Maybe enter this mode automatically, if the user dragged the pane
separator to the bottom. This is how Mozilla currently works.
