Package: kdelibs
Version: 3.2.2-2

/etc/kde3/system.kdeglobals is not included in this package (or any
other kde package, as far as I can see), and it is not listed as a
conffile for it. I only noticed its absence because I was going to add
some of the KDE Kiosk restrictions to it.

The system is a recent install from a Sarge d-i mini-CD (4/13/2004),
which I immediately upgraded to Sid. I probably lost the file in the
recent problem where said file is deleted in the kdelibs postinst script
(fixed in 3.2.2-2). That bug existed in 3.2.2-1, so I'm wondering if
3.2.2-1 is also when system.kdeglobals was disowned (dis-conffile'd).

Obviously there are still uses for a systemwide configuration file, so I
suggest it be added back in, or failing that, an explanation given for
why it isn't and won't be included anymore...

It was never shipped by upstream sources, it was created in the
debian/rules file due to it being needed for some of the directory
entries. This is no longer needed so the file is no longer
created/shipped.
