The orig.tar.gz is what was tagged as the release and the debian dir applies a 60KB patch of what changed since it was tagged. The problem appears to be that korganizer doesn't believe in using the VERSION variable from configure instead it sets its own version hardcoded into: korganizer/version.h:static const char korgVersion[] = "3.2.1"; The korganizer maintainer never updated it for KDE 3.2.2 and should be using the variable instead anyway...
