Bug#196679: Bug reproduced, possible explanation

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Hi all,

KDE uses helvetica as a standard font.
If "helvetica" is not found, KDE uses AFAIK the first available font which
advertise themselves as helvetica replacements.
If this first font is rendered as boxes we got it.
In my case there were the fonts "Ann" and "Agate", which were both rendered as
boxes.
I just did things with fonts (uninstalled, installed, deleted), so after I
found out what was the cause, the fonts were gone (with the problem).
Possibly the fonts were remaints from Windoze.

Hope that helps,
Timo Weingärtner
