This is not a bug in no package in Debian. You don't need to have an
Xserver installed on the machine you are using KDE...
KDE does not really need an x server so it (and even the kde
metapackage) shouldn't depend on it.
And wrt tasksel:
And there is a task "X Window System" written a few lines under "Desktop
environment".
