Bug#1095121: vcswatch: erroneously asserts "missing blob object ... remote did not send all necessary objects"

Package: qa.debian.org
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

for package exifprobe vcswatch asserts

Error: fatal: missing blob object '5688c95c719bd0ccef0e904ef4366410356308f4' error: remote did not send all necessary objects

while a fresh git clone well contains this object:

$ gbp clone git@salsa.debian.org:pkg-security-team/exifprobe.git copy-exifprobe
gbp:info: Cloning from 'git@salsa.debian.org:pkg-security-team/exifprobe.git' into 'copy-exifprobe'
$ cd copy-exifprobe/
$ git log --raw --all --find-object=5688c95c719bd0ccef0e904ef4366410356308f4

    pristine-tar data for exifprobe_2.0.1+git20170416.3c2b769.orig.tar.gz

Re-triggering vcswatch by clicking the "Scan now" button didn't fix the
issue.

I observered the same flaw with other packages in the past, vanishing
eventually for unknown reasons.

Any idea what's going wrong here?

Sven
