Hi!
When processing AppStream upstream metadata to create the distro-metadata
DEP-11 YAML file[1], we generate an issues-list which might be useful for
inclusion on the PTS.
We generate a HTML overview of the issues, for example for unstable-main:
  https://appstream.debian.org/html/unstable/main/issues/index.html

We also export the hint information for the suites and architectures we
generate data for as YAML metadata, which is machine-readable:
  https://appstream.debian.org/hints/

Information about AppStream on Debian and common issues found when packaging
metadata (and how to deal with them) can be found at this Wiki page:
https://wiki.debian.org/AppStream
I am currently still extending the page, when it is ready I will make a public
announcement that AppStream support has landed in Debian, and how to work with
this new feature.

Adding this issue information (alongside lintian warnings?) to the PTS would be
of great help!

Kind regards,
    Matthias Klumpp

to display a nice application-centric view on the Debian archive.
