Tying anything to salsa looks wrong. We want VCS data even if the
repository is not hosted on salsa.debian.org. You probably want to
have a good abstraction/interface so that we can easily replace the code
extracting data from the VCS (and easily write tests).
But as a first step, I believe that you must rely on the data extracted
by vcswatch (that we already import in PackageData). Maybe you want to
collaborate with Christoph Berg <myon@debian.org> if you need to have more
data than what's currently available.
