oh awesome, thanks. I indeed missed the "O:" in front of the lintian output
Jakub posted as well as there was a second override file in
debian/source/lintian-overrides in addition to
debian/picolisp.lintian-overrides which was the only one I looked at.

I filed a bug about this against picolisp :)
