I'm quite sure both -option and --option do work. BTW in file in
question the only ones with double dash are --kernel and --initrd in
$QEMU_KERNEL for Linux, all others qemu options included -kernel and
-initrd I set for Hurd are single dash.
Better fixing them?
Recent qemu man describes almost only single dash options.
