Or maybe allow usage of some predefined variables:
- $ARCHIVE_EXT -> (?:zip|tgz|tbz|txz|(?:tar\.(?:gz|bz2|xz)))
- $COMPRESSION_EXT -> (?:gz|bz2|xz)
- $ANY_VERSION -> (?:\d\S*)
Can you file a bug report against uscan ?
