These I should have fixed I realise.
Yes.
W: ncpfs: binary-without-manpage sbin/mount.ncpfs
This is like a private helper isn't it?
Everything in (s9bin/should have a man page. mount.nfs has
a manpage as well - probably all other mount.* helpers.
W: ncpfs: setuid-binary usr/bin/ncpmount 4755 root/root
W: ncpfs: setuid-binary usr/bin/ncpumount 4755 root/root
W: ncpfs: setuid-binary usr/bin/nwsfind 4755 root/root
Unavoidable. I can add overrides if you like.
If a lintian warning is unavodable it deserves an override
(and a comment inside the override file why this is the case)
W: ncpfs: syntax-error-in-debian-changelog line 483 "badly formatted trailer line"
W: ncpfs: syntax-error-in-debian-changelog line 485 "found start of entry where expected more change data or trailer"
W: ncpfs: syntax-error-in-debian-changelog line 492 "badly formatted trailer line"
W: ncpfs: syntax-error-in-debian-changelog line 494 "found start of entry where expected more change data or trailer"
The first 3 changelog entries have no date. I could manufacture a date,
but that seems wrong.
You are right. Faking a date if you do not know it really should not
be done - but this are not the main issue. But perhaps an override
might make sense as well. The rationale for overriding these
uninteresting issues is to make sure that real lintian issues are
not hidden amongst the noise.
Kind regards
Andreas.
