Package: qa.debian.org
Severity: normal

Hello,
the page http://qa.debian.org/excuses.php?package=ktechlab
states two wrong assertions, which I present below. Please take the time
to check the status of this package, and fix the wrong excuse items.

Here are the two wrong assertions:

1- ktechlab (source, i386, alpha, amd64, arm, armel, hppa, ia64, mips,
mipsel, powerpc, s390, sparc) has new bugs!

The link points to
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?which=pkg&data=ktechlab&sev-inc=critical&sev-inc=grave&sev-inc=serious
which contains a reference to bug #474842, which is now resolved since
the 10th June.

2- Updating ktechlab introduces new bugs: #474842

This is wrong again (same reason: updating ktechlab from version 0.3-5
to 0.3-9 closes the bug, which was found with version 0.3-8, and fixed
in version 0.3-9, as correctly stated in the page
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=474842)

Best regards, Georges.

Actually, they're both correct, so I'm going to close this bug.

Specifically:

  ktechlab | 0.3-8 | unstable | sparc
  ktechlab | 0.3-9 | unstable | source, alpha, amd64, arm,
armel, hppa, i386, ia64, m68k, mips, mipsel, powerpc, s390

i.e. the sparc package is still at 0.3-8, which means that #474842
affects that package.

See above - the sparc package still contains the bug so, if the packages
currently in unstable were pushed to testing right now, the bug would be
introduced in to testing.

Once the sparc build is available the package should be able to migrate.
It looks like the package is currently failing to build on sparc however
(http://buildd.debian.org/fetch.cgi?pkg=ktechlab&arch=sparc&ver=0.3-9&stamp=1215519835&file=log&as=raw).

Regards,

Adam
