You would've find out by building the package in pbuilder, sbuild, or a
clean sid chroot. That is, by building the package with any method that
implies installing all the build-dependencies in an environment where
they're not previously installed. With that, installing libapache-request-perl
would have failed because libapache-mod-perl is not present in unstable
any more. That's how you notice. :-)

However, this does not help if you haven't uploaded a new package since
libapache-mod-perl got removed. Then, that's what Lucas' rebuilds of the
archive are for, among other things.
