Hello Mr,

I am a final year student at University of Essex, I am trying to get some experience in peercast, and I’ve downloaded the following version:

gnome-peercast-0.5.4.

I tried to run the configuration and this is what I got:

checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config

checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes

checking for GNOME_PEERCAST... configure: error: Package requirements (libgnomeui-2.0 >= 2.8.0

                  libgnome-2.0   >= 2.8.0

                  gtk+-2.0       >= 2.6.0

                  gconf-2.0      >= 1.1.9

                  libglade-2.0   >= 2.4.2) were not met:

No package 'libgnomeui-2.0' found

No package 'libgnome-2.0' found

No package 'gtk+-2.0' found

No package 'gconf-2.0' found

No package 'libglade-2.0' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you

installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GNOME_PEERCAST_CFLAGS

and GNOME_PEERCAST_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

See the pkg-config man page for more details.

Then I run “make” but I got an error message:

make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found.  Stop.

So I downloaded this library libgnomeui-2.0 >= 2.8.0 but still can’t get it to work.

Would you be so kind to help me find the problem?

Kind regards,

Rasha
