I can only say, that snacc is used by some people and Debian is currently the only system with a working snacc option. OTOH, without an active maintainer this is not a good situation. Proposal: I try to fix the RC bug #249740 (but not necessarily the 'normal' one #202593) in the next days or so and do an NMU. Cheers, WB
