It is buggy.  The maintainer isn't particularly active.  A far

nothing than to ship rcconf in its present state.

   I think Debian needs some kind of runlevel editor and, as others have pointed out, rcconf works well enough for many of us. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't sort the scripts into alphabetical order, which can make it hard to find a given item. There's a patch in the bug report system that fixes this, but the maintainer doesn't seem to have incorporated it yet. Perhaps an nmu is in order here.

   What problems are you having with this package?
