From: zed@debian.org
Subject: ines: Segfaults under libc6, no longer maintained upstream
To: submit@bugs.debian.org
X-Mailer: bug 3.1.7

Package: ines
Version: 0.7-3
Severity: grave

The executable will segfault if libc6 is installed (whether or not the
libc5 compatability libraries are installed; it won't run without
those, anyway). Since this would effectively require a conflicts:
libc6, and libc6 is now the standard (i.e. nothing else will run
without it), and since no source has been provided so that this can be
fixed, I recommend that this package be removed from the distribution.
>From the web page, it also appears that the package is no longer being
maintained upstream (the author was aware of this problem, which
required only a simple recompile, half a year ago, and never
rereleased).

I will try to remember to file a bug against ftp.debian.org in a few
weeks if there's no response to this.

These bugs in packages maintained by Debian QA were already closed (and
fixed packages are already in unstable) but only marked as fixed.
