... which is a joke. Most people on this list are quite inactive
regarding qa currently. Currently mostly tbm and joy are on that list
rightfully.

Even more silly is that we had started a list of qa workers sometime
and I don't even know who is on that list and what is it good for.
This is just another example of adding more bureaucracy and hoping to
improve the situation by it. It just does not work.

I am all for closing down the qa-ctte. Let the people on debian-qa@lists
do their work. Being in a commitee does mean nothing. It's more important
to have a good reputation for doing things which are not accepted by
all maintainers. I think only a small number of maintainers will ever
disagree with what Martin and Josip are doing because they make the
right decisions and this is public knowledge.

I think this is how you can reach a higher level in Debian, not formally
but practically. And I have to say I like this. There is nobody appointed
to have special rights but you gain them by doing good work accepted by
many maintainers. Let's not change this!

Yes, we need somebody to drive the specific projects like removing oldlibs
dependencies for example. And that person have to give the torch to
somebody else if he does not find the time anymore. We will see how it
works :)
