I can reproduce this bug too, here's a backtrace as nobody seems to have
given one yet:

This happens after I (while playing) click next track, or previous track, or
stop and then play, i.e. anything that causes arts_free() and then
arts_init() again, and it also only happens when network transparency is
turned on. I'm fairly confident this is bug #117056 (KDE #34541), hence the
merge.
