Bug#12759: acm segfaults on 24 bit display

Package: acm
Version: 4.7-7

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

after starting acm by simply typing acm in kde2's konsole window, I get the
following error message:

Automatically starting server ...
<snip>
Distribution info
</snip>
Sound is not available for server lukas:0.0
lukas:0.0

After that a windows flashes on the screen and disappear thereafter.
By the way the sound server of kde2 is disabled, so it can't occupie the
sound device. The sound functions on the machine. I've tested it by starting
the sound server and playing some sound files.

What's wrong??

Greetings

Florian
