 This is something I argued for a few years ago, but nothing came out of
 it.  You are right about there being lots of duplicated code in
 dockapps.  It probably has to do with the way dockapps evolved.
 Getting many of them as possible to use a common (shared) library is a
 nice project and it would benefit users.  It would mean changing some
 command line interfaces, but that'd be a good thing at the end.

 Perhaps Debian dockapp maintainers would be interested in this move.
