Package: qa.debian.org
Version: 20001031
Severity: wishlist

The bot that handles control@qa.debian.org should also file bugs against
wnpp if someone issues one of those commands (or instruct the author of
a command to manipulate bugs (him|her)self):

 http://qa.debian.org/bot-quickref.html:
[..]
| The following commands are understood by the QA-Bot at
| <control@qa.debian.org>:
[..]
| * For Package Maintainers
|
| helpme <package> [{yes|no|true|false|1|0}]
| Declare that you need some kind of help with
| <package> (or if false, that you no longer do).
| When this is true, QA people will investigate your
| package via the Bug Tracking System and try to
| offer help. If you need help for a very specific
| task you may want to contact the QA committee so
| that they create a new task that will appear in the
| task list.
|
| orphan <package> [{yes|no|true|false|1|0}]
| Declare that you are no longer maintaining
| <package> (or if false, that you are adopting it or
| taking it back). Don't forget to upload the package
| with <AB> Debian QA Group <debian-qa@lists.debian.org>
| <BB> as maintainer field when you orphan a package.
|
| adopt <package>
| Declare that you are taking over (adopting)
| <package>.

The docs no longer say that, closing your bug.

They say:

Note that you can orphan and adopt packages using the WNPP.
