I've done a bit of debugging here. I made a new IP for the machine using
the dummy0 interface (I forgot to compile regular IP aliasing into the kernel).

I created the vpop.db and made the mail directory in /var/spool/mail.
I cannot authenticate myself as the virtual domain user, it is always
incorrect. When I set the password to be the same as my regular system
user, it still tells me my password or username was incorrect ie it won't
give me the wrong mailbox.

I'll try to debug it as time permits.
