Subject: mc: requires gettext to build
From: James Troup <J.J.Troup@comp.brad.ac.uk>
Date: 11 Nov 1997 23:50:25 +0000
Message-ID: <dmmiutzkn26.fsf@dcsun4.comp.brad.ac.uk>
Lines: 13
X-Mailer: Gnus v5.4.66/Emacs 19.34

Package: mc
Version: 4.1.9-1

Compilation dies with:

gcc -c -I.. -I./../vfs -I./.. -I./../slang -I.. -DBINDIR=\""/usr/bin/"\" -DLIBDIR=\""/usr/lib/mc/"\" -DICONDIR=\""/usr/lib/mc/icons/"\" -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -O2 -g -Wall mad.c
gcc -o mcserv mcserv.o tcputil.o mad.o -lintl -lgpm -lcrypt
ld: cannot open -lintl: No such file or directory

-lintl is provided (afaik) by gettext which is in experimental.
