Package: autoconf
Version: 2.13-12
Severity: wishlist

My configure.in file uses the AC_C_BIGENDIAN macro to determine machine
endianness, but when compiling this with autoconf I get this warning for
that line:

configure.in:32: warning: AC_TRY_RUN called without default to allow cross
+compiling

Looking through the autoconf scripts, it appears that autoconf's
implementation of AC_C_BIGENDIAN is triggering one of its own warnings about
bad macro arguments. I've had these warnings with the slink autoconf as
well.
